JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for warmly greeting, seating and wishing a proper farewell to guests while providing quality service to guests and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner and maintaining or exceeding the high standards of the hotel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED; AND one (1) year of food and beverage service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)

• Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations)

• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers

and guests.

• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic

functions.

• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Host/Hostess work in fast paced environments. This job may be required to stand for long hours.
